A typical day

A typical day at Fatemah Nursery

We make sure every day at Fatemah Nursery is full of learning, discovery and more importantly lots of fun.

Breakfast
This is one of the busiest times during the day as children arrive from 7.30am to settle in and have breakfast from 8am. There is a wide choice of cereals available and the children all sit down together so you can leave them in the knowledge that they are happy and ready to start the day with their friends.

Morning activities
After breakfast the fun really starts, the staff at Fatemah Nursery encourage all of the children to join in with lots of activities in the different zones around each room. From messy play, a music session, fun in the construction area – there is always something to keep everybody busy. To make sure every child develops to their full potential we follow the statutory Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which is a Government framework focusing on the development and learning for children from birth up to the age of five.

Snack time
Water is offered regularly throughout the day at Fatemah Nursery but all that exploration and discovery can make a little one hungry so everyone is given a mid-morning snack too.

Lunch
A homemade, two-course hot lunch is served around midday and everyone sits together at the table to enjoy it. We ensure the children get all the vitamins and minerals they need from a healthy diet and have a three week menu plan which we rotate weekly.

Rest time
All that fun and learning can be exhausting, so there is a quiet area in every room so that every child can get as much rest as they need. We know that younger Babies will need lots of sleep so every baby in the baby-room has their own bed. Our Toddlers also use this time to have a nap while our Pre-Schooler's tend to enjoy some quieter activities.

Afternoon activities
Fatemah Nursery plan all activities carefully balancing structured play and child-led fun, where children choose what they want to do. No matter how old your child is, we make sure all learning at Fatemah Nursery is fun and stimulating.

Tea Time
Late afternoon the children sit down to a two-course to an afternoon tea which is a little lighter than lunch but just as tasty.

Snack time
We wouldn’t want anyone getting hungry on the way home so we offer an afternoon snack to keep rumbling tummies at bay.

Home time
So that you don’t miss out on what your child has enjoyed during their stay at Fatemah Nursery, you will be given daily baby planner (under 18 months) that details all the activities they have enjoyed, the meals they have eaten and when they have had a nap.
